Jour  1
In the morning, delivery of car rental at the hotel before starting your Self Drive Program. On your first day you will drive from Kuala Lumpur to Cameron Highlands which is approximately 235 km away. En route you will visit the Royal Selangor Pewter factory followed by a visit to the Batu Caves, a huge limestone outcrop that houses a Hindu temple. Other stops along the way could be made at the bamboo basket making, the Lata Iskandar Waterfall and the Oran Asli Settlement. After a fulfilled day of sightseeing you will finally reach Cameron Highland which is situated about 1542 meters above sea level. Check into your hotel and enjoy the cool and refreshing air of the hill resort.

CAMERON HIGHLANDS - IPOH – PENANG (295 kms) (Petit déjeuner/-/-)
After breakfast, it’s time to explore Cameron Highlands. Visit the famous tea plantations and see how the tea is produced in the tea factory. The view overlooking the plantations is beautiful and perfect.
Next you will visit the vegetable farm; here vegetables are produced for the export to neighboring countries.
The last stop in Cameron Highlands could be Market square where you can find all the products which are produced in Cameron Highlands are sold in one place.
After leaving Cameron Highlands you will drive towards Penang, en-route you could visit Sam Poh Tong Temple close to Ipoh, it is said to be the biggest cave temple in the country, Mosque Ubudiah and Palace Iskandariah, which is located in Kuala Kangsar.
Discover the Istana Kayangan Museum which houses the royal regelia, photographs of the royal family, illustrations and artifacts of the past and present monarchy in Perak. From here you will drive straight to Penang where you will stay for 2 nights.
Once arrived in Penang you will check into your hotel and enjoy the rest of the evening.

In the morning you will have breakfast at the hotel before driving around the Island of Penang.
Enjoy the beach of Penang and do a sightseeing tour in Georgetown in the morning.
Drive to Georgetown along the popular seafront promenade called the Gurney Drive to the Reclining Buddha of the Wat Chayamangkalaram, the 3rd largest of its kind, with its 33 meters in length. Proceed to the Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion, the famous indigo-blue Chinese Courtyard House built in the 1880’s. After visiting the Mansion, drive to the Goddess of Mercy Temple which not only used for religious but also for social functions within the Chinese community. En-route to the Khoo Kongsi Clanhouse, make a photo-stop at the Mosque Kapitan Keling. Located at Cannon Square in the heart of the oldest part of the city of Georgetown, visit the most distinctive clan houses.
Explore Little India and the Sri Mahamariamma by walking around and set off on a gastronomic adventure. Next take an adventurous journey to Fort Cornwallis situated at the spot where Captain Francis Light was supposed to have landed in 1786. Meet some simply friendly spirit snakes in the famous Snake Temple.
Drive to Balik Pulau which means ‘the other side of the island’ and try some local fruits. Before returning to the hotel visit the Tropical Fruit Farm, Butterfly Farm and the Batik Factory.
You may also visit the botanical garden while strolling along the tranquil setting. Take a cable car ride up Penang Hill, 823 meters above sea level and enjoy a spectacular panoramic view of Penang. Descent in one of the world's oldest funicular railway systems and drive towards the Tek Lok Si Temple which is one of the best known Temples on the island.

PENANG - PULAU BANDING (Petit déjeuner/-/-)
After breakfast you have the following options:

Option 1
Continue your day with sightseeing tour in Georgetown in case you have missed out a few places the previous day and proceed to the Belum Rainforest Resort in the afternoon.

Option 2
Proceed directly to the Belum Rainforest Resort and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
When driving to Belum, prepare yourself for a longer and scenic drive. The route cuts through the Mountain Range of Malaysia and offers breathtaking views of the tropical rainforest, rubber and oil palm plantations and a vast lake. Stop for photographs along the way.

PULEAU BANDING - KOTA BHARU (Petit déjeuner/-/-)
After a good breakfast at the hotel, you have the possibility to join one of the morning guided tours offered by the hotel. Possible excursions offered are as follow: The Banding Island Cruise, Banding Forest Trail or the Bamboo Rafting.
Proceed to Kota Bharu in the afternoon after your jungle experience.

KOTA BHARU – LAKE KENYIR (Petit déjeuner/-/-)
After breakfast, drive to the Wet Market in Kota Bharu this is the most often-photographed market in Malaysia. Perhaps it is due to its unique architecture. Proceed to Lake Kenyir and spend the rest of the day to discover and enjoy the resort.
In the afternoon you have the possibilities to join one of the guided tours offered by the hotel. Possible excursions offered are: Jungle Trekking, Deer Feeding, Elephant Sanctuary, Lake Cruise or Lake Adventure.

Breakfast at the hotel and afterwards you have the following two options.

Option 1
Drive towards the State Museum before heading to the Chinese Temple Tokong Mek, marked by a flamboyant red and gold arch with figures of dragons perched on its roof. Have a look in Kampung Penambang how local people weave songkets and how they paint batiks.
Visit Pulau Duyung Besar, the largest island in the estuary. Fishing boats are built here using age old techniques and tools. Drive along Chinatown, the Wetmarket, Princess hill and view the Maziah Palace and State Mosque.

Option 2
If you prefer to enjoy the nature you have the option to join one of the guided tours offered by the hotel. Possible excursions offered are: Jungle Trekking, Bird Watching, Elephant Sanctuary, Lake Cruise or Lake Adventure.
In the afternoon leave from Terengganu or Lake Kenyir and head towards your chosen place for a beach extension at:
• Redang Island, drop off your rental car either at Merang Jetty or Shabandar Jetty.
• Tanjung Jara Resort in Dungun and drop off your rental car at the resort.
• Cherating or Kuantan, drop off your rental car at the resort.
• Head to the airport for your departure flight, drop off your rental car at the Kuala Terengganu airport.
