DANUM VALLEY - Borneo Rainforest Lodge is located within the famous 43,800 ha Danum Valley Conservation Area in the midst of almost 1 million ha timber concession area of the Sabah Foundation. Danum Valley is the largest protected area of undisturbed lowland dipterocarp forest in Sabah where trees can grow up to 50m tall. The forest is rich with over 200 species of trees being found in one hectare. Danum Valley Field Centre, one of the foremost rainforest research centres in Southeast Asia is 32km from the Borneo Rainforest Lodge. At the Lodge, natural history tourism complements the effort of conservation of the Danum Valley. Guided walks/trekking on nature trails, night drives in the back of open Land Rovers and canopy walkways are organized to view wildlife and high floral biodiversity in their natural habitat.
