Makassar - South Sulawesi - Bira

You arrive by plane in Makassar, capital of South Sulawesi from where a bus will take you to Bira. On the way we visit the boat building sites of the Buginese. Afternoon embarkation on board the Ombak Putih. |

Jour 2 |
Bira - Selayar
(Petit déjeuner/Déjeuner/Dîner)
we go ashore on the island of Selayar. You will visit several historical sights and a sacred stone where people make offerings to the Goddes of the sea. The biggest Dongson drum in Indonesia is on display at a small museum. The local jail and the governor’s house both date back to the Dutch East Indies Trade Company (VOC) times and are absolutely worth the visit! |

Jour 3 |
Selayar - Bonerate
(Petit déjeuner/Déjeuner/Dîner)
Arrival in Bonerate. Today you will enjoy a beautiful beach and its unspoiled underwater world (Kalao). You can also visit a small fishermen village where villagers still make their traditional boats.
On day 4 we will visit the volcano named Kumba. This mountain recently erupted and we’ll snorkel at the new lava sites…if there is no eruption at time of visit…

Bonerate - Lembata

Arrival in Lembata, at the town of Lewoleba. One of the most culturally traditional areas on this island finds itself in the bay between Lewoleba and the majestic Ile Api volcano. An area known to produce the best ikats of Lembata. We will leave Ombak Putih on the West coast to drive around the volcano and discover the breathtaking views it offers to re-join Ombak Putih again on the East coast of the peninsula. |

Lembata

Arrival in Lamalera to visit a traditional whale hunting village. Local fishermen still practice a primitive form of whaling with their local boats, called "pledang". We will visit this village where whaling and other related activities are still a part of the daily life. |

Jour 6 |
Lembata - Lamalera

we arrive early morning in Maumere and straight after breakfast we’ll start the excursion to the famous Kelimutu volcano with its 3 differently colored lakes. In the later afternoon we leave for a small island to enjoy a beach BBQ. |

Lamalera - Maumere

we arrive early morning in Maumere and straight after breakfast we’ll start the excursion to the famous Kelimutu volcano with its 3 differently colored lakes. In the later afternoon we leave for a small island to enjoy a beach BBQ. |

Maumere - Bali

we still have time for a morning swim before going to Maumere airport and fly back to Bali. |
