KUALA LUMPUR - Kampung Kuantan ( Fireflies ) - KUALA LUMPUR

Morning bkfst at hotel.
Proceed to KL half day city tour. Discover the old and new, starting from where the city began, which is at the confluence of two rivers. Visits include the King's Palace, the National Museum, the National Monument and the superb buildings at the Independence Square as well as the Moorish-style railway station. Observe the contrast between historical architecture and modern skyscrapers in an abundant setting of greenery. You will also get to visit a local handicraft centre and a photo stop at the magnificent Petronas Twin Towers. Back to hotel for freshen up and waiting for Kuala Selangor Fireflies pick up.
Pick up @ 1500-1600 hrs : Proceed to Kuala Selangor town in the quiet hamlet of Kampung Kuantan, one of the largest firefly colonies in the world. On arrival at Kuala Selangor, visit Kota Melawati formerly known as Fort Altingsburg, the execution block, royal mausoleum and colonial buldings. A bird sanctuary park at the foot of Bukit Melawati is an ideal place for bird watchersto watch migratory birds. Also found are silvered-leaf monkeys, butterflies & etc. Next, proceed to Kampong Kuantan - the highlight of the tour. Row upstream in a small unmotorised boat (tongkang) in thequiet darkness to witness the blinking trees. This scintillating display of fireflies portrays an image of a flashing Christmas tree. The synchronized, ryhthmic flashing is produced by the thousands of fireflies found in the mangrove swamp of Kampung Kuantan. The skilled local oarsmen make this experience a memorable and unforgettable one.

KUALA LUMPUR - Kuala Gandah Elephant conservation - KUALA LUMPUR

Morning breakfast at hotel.
0900 hrs pick up at hotel. The journey takes approx. 1 hour 45 mins. First stop is Aborigine settlement, Kuala Gandah Elephant conservation was established in 1989 by the Department of Wildlife and National Parks. The centre is a base for the Elephant Relocation Team which began the elephant translocation programme in 1974. The only one of its kind in Malaysia, the team is dedicated to locating, suduing and then translocating problem elephants areas where their habitats are constantly being encroached by plantations and to other suitable habitats throughout the Peninsula such as Taman Negara. Over the past 25 years the centre has helped prevent the further declined of the elephant population by relocating more than 300 wild elephants.
Tour include elephant ride, elephant feeding and for those who are brave, we suggest you bring a change clothes and towel if you wish to participate in water activities such as swimming & bathing the elephants in the river
Evening transfer back to KL > overnight in Kuala Lumpur

Pick up a votre hotel a Kuala Lumpur 08:30.
Voyage vers le nord a travers l'Etat de Perak, direction Cameron Highlands a travers de beaux paysages et des villes historiques, de la rivière Slim à la ville Tapah nicher aux pieds de Cameron Highlands.
Ce voyage vous emmène à une altitude de 1500-1800, avec un bref arrêt a la cascade Iskandar , visite des villages autochtones, des vergers , des fermes a cactus et de roses et des plantations de thé.
Installation à l'hôtel. Nuit Cameron Highlands.

CAMERON HIGHLANDS – PENANG

Descente vers le nord et arrêt à Ipoh ancienne capitale de l'étain des mines de Kinta Valley .
Découverte des grandes régions productrices de pomelos, mangoustines et de mangues.
Visite du chateau Killies construit par un magnat écossais, suivie d'une visite aux grottes calcaires du Temple.
Après le déjeuner, vous visiterez la mosquée Ubudiah , Kuala Kangsar, vous traverserez le célèbre pont de Penang pour aller plage de Ferringhi .
Installation a l'hôtel et temps libre pour le reste de la journée.

PENANG

Après le petit déjeuner, vous visiterez Penang, la Perle de l'Orient avec ses nombreux temples tout aussi majestueux les uns que les autres , le Park des papillions, le temple des serpents, le Fort Cornwallis, le front de mer animé et Kek Lok Si , le plus grand sanctuaire Bouddhiste de l'Asie du sud - est .
